Yesterday I was in butterfly heaven and I had a short lens. The butterflies were everywhere. But they were very shy when I tried to get close. Went back today with a longer lens, but the wind was too strong. The butterflies were hunkered down. But got one good shot.

The Nikon 70-210mm f/4-5.6 is not a bad lens. They are cheap these days. I think I paid like 49.00 dollars for it. No stabilization, so I shoot at 1/200 minimum shutter speed.

It’s a pretty heavy setup, but I didn’t notice the weight today. Since I was focused on finding some butterflies!
