Nikon D700 yellow bush reflection in lake.

Shot this with the Nikkor 28-105mm ƒ3.5-4.5D IF lens on the Nikon D700. I like hiking with this lens, because it has pretty good macro ability. Though I must admit I rarely use the lens these days. I also have the Nikkor 28-85mm f/3.5-4.5 lens and I think it is better, but the macro ability is not very good.

Nikon D40 Black Cat Overexposed.

The cat was crossing the road in front of me and turned around and ran into the bushes when it saw me. The meter on the Nikon D40 is worthless and the photo was totally overexposed. But I like cats and a black one is really cool. So i adjusted the light and saturation heavily in Apple Photos to save it.

One mushroom with the Nikon D40

When I take pictures of mushrooms with the Nikon D40, I just hold the camera near the mushroom and keep shooting until I get a good shot. I used the built in flash on this shot. I need to research this mushroom and see if it is edible.

Nikon D40 and Mushrooms in the woods.

Bought me a Nikon D40 a couple of weeks ago and loving it for my hiking camera. Light weight, simple and great photos. The price has gone up and had to pay around 65 dollars for one with a shutter count of around 8000. Shooting with the Nikon 35mm f/1.8 DX lens. Can’t complain.

Street photography with the Nikon D700.

Mostly sitting on a bench around 4:00 pm by myself on a Saturday. I think Americans (North) are bored with life. Or maybe i am old and bored and life kind of sucks with getting old. What, I’m old? How in the hell did that happen? Life goes by really fast and if you are young reading this, then go for your dreams or at least do something interesting for a living.

So on the passenger-side of the car (below), an older overweight lady was sitting half in and half out of the back seat of the car, with the door open. She had a big smile on her face. I said,”I like your car.” She pointed to her son and said, “that’s his car and he likes it.” I took a picture. He flicked a butt into the street and did a u-turn with a new sense of pride. It’s a beat-up classic that is still running! Will a Tesla ever be a classic or just a relic stripped of its resources in a junk yard under discarded solar panels?
