This husband and wife team has a corn grinding business in San Pedro “Lago de Atitlan”, Guatemala. Mayan women bring their bowl of corn in each morning and have it process into dough. Then they go home and make tortillas out of it.
Most of the homes in Guatemala are made out of cement block with poured ceilings/roofs. They will setup many stilts to hold the forms in place. Then the cement will be mixed by hand in a big troughs and a human chain will pass hundreds of buckets of cement to the top of the building.
Sometimes you need to soak those weary bones in a nice hot bath. In San Pedro, Guatemala you need to head over to Solar Pools. They are real friendly and you can get a group of people together and split the bill. The tubs use hot water from a hot water heater and are not really solar powered.
