After you take a good view of the town of Masaya and the Volcanoes then go underground to the dungeons. I felt an overwhelming sense of loss and hopelessness in my brief tour and was glad to come out into the sunlight.
When the Sandinista’s attacked the fort (during the revolution) the National Guard murdered all the political prisoners inside.
