This husband and wife team has a corn grinding business in San Pedro “Lago de Atitlan”, Guatemala. Mayan women bring their bowl of corn in each morning and have it process into dough. Then they go home and make tortillas out of it.
These machines are pretty old, but they keep them running like new.
A hand crank starts the machine. Then they pour the corn into a hopper and slowly add water, as the corn is ground. Presto and out comes fresh dough.
The husband is fascinated with the USA. He wanted a dollar bill to frame and hang on his wall. The next day I returned with his wish.
