I find myself disorganized in El Salvador.

After living in San Pedro La Laguna, Guatemala for a month and having my little routine down I find myself with my stuff strewn around my room. Having a television really is causing a distraction. I feel like I’m living in the Ritz Carlton. But I think I’m finally getting it together here. I’ve got my portable apps working and found a good Internet office that works well with that application. Internet cafes won’t let you bring your own laptop here (at least the ones I’ve found) and one would not allow me to use my USB thumb drive.

Today I went and took some pictures of hotels and I think the Hotel Tazumal that I’m staying in is the best deal compared to the others.

The people are very friendly here in El Salvador. The only big difference between Guatemala and El Salvador is in Guatemala they greet you more often when walking around town.

Food and haircuts is very cheap here. I paid $1.25 USD for a haircut and breakfast costs around the same for eggs, fried potatoes, rice and beans, and coffee.

The #1 tip for getting ready to travel?

Buy your plane ticket to your destination! I’ve always found that the only way to truly get ready for leaving home is to purchase your plane ticket. That forces you to mentally get all the little stuff done around home.
