Preparing to go to El Salvador.

A rather cloudy afternoon on the shores of Lago de Atitlan, Guatemala.  Getting prepared to travel to El Salvador on Monday morning. Thinking about catching a chicken bus at 6:00am Monday morning in the market above San Pedro. That would get me to Guatemala City at around 9:30am and then I would catch a first class bus to the capital of El Salvador (San Salvador). The bus ride to San Salvador is probably about 6 hours. But I might just stop in Sonsonate, El Salvador if possible and spend the night there to avoid the capital.

Another possibility would be to stay in Antigua, Guatemala for the night and then get an early start and make it all the way to La Libertad, El Salvador on the pacific coast, my final destination.

Going to start on the west coast and work my way east and discover all the pretty beaches and beautiful women. I want to rent a room with a family eventually and force myself to learn Spanish better.

But that is the basic plan and shall give it a little more thought.

The #1 tip for getting ready to travel?

Buy your plane ticket to your destination! I’ve always found that the only way to truly get ready for leaving home is to purchase your plane ticket. That forces you to mentally get all the little stuff done around home.
