Gimp Tutorial – How to change the outline color of text “stroke path” using the GNU Image Manipulation Program.
Changing the outline color of text is an easy Gimp tip/trick.
Step 1. In your toolbox on the left, click on the Text Tool (big A) and write some text.
Step 2. Now you select the dialog box called “Path from Text.” If the “Path from Text” dialog is not highlighted, then sometimes you have to make sure the box around the text is highlighted by clicking on it.
Step 3. We need to change our foreground color by clicking on the top color square in the toolbox. A dialog box will pop-up and you can select a different color for your text outline color. I picked the color red in this demonstration.
Step 4. Under the edit menu you now select “Stroke Path.” A dialog box will pop-up and you now select the line width and click the stroke button.
View your results. If not happy you can “Undo Stroke Path” under the edit menu and repeat the process by repeating step 4.
