This is a nice museum to visit in Santa Ana, El Salvador to learn about how they use the agave plant. Normally you would think it would be used for tequila, but the El Salvadorians use it to make fibers. From simple hand made things to full industrial production. The curator of the museum told me more money can be made using the agave plant to make fiber.
In the basement they have a collection of their currency on display.
Upstairs there is some history on the destruction of the town of Santa Tecla caused by a volcano eruption.
