La Posada Familiar is in a good location, but unfortunately the rooms are in pretty bad shape. I stayed here for one night and my room had that sewer smell that I just love. I plugged the shower drain with a plastic bag and that seemed to help.
Don’t give up on the shower. It takes about five minutes for the water to begin flowing. I had better luck just getting in the green “alligator” water pool for my daily bath.
They are very friendly and I felt my personal belongings were safe in my room.
If staying here go and eat behind the pier. The restaurants really rip you off in town.
I was on the bus bright and early the next day heading to Playa Los Blancos (great beach for swimming.)
